Phil Lord and Chris Miller No Longer Directing ‘Han Solo’ Story!

In a turn of events that’s come like a wrecking ball, has revealed that Phil Lord and Chris Miller will not complete directing the upcoming (and still untitled) Han Solo spinoff film due to creative differences!

directrorsviosehofgsie.jpg said in a statement:

“The untitled Han Solo film will move forward with a directorial change.

‘Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon,’ said Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm.

‘Unfortunately, our vision and process weren’t aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences’ but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew,’ stated Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.

The untitled Han Solo film remains scheduled for a May 2018 release.”

So what does this mean now? Personally, I think a new director(s) will be brought in to work with the already completed footage and the film will be released in May of 2018 as promised, albeit it may be what I call a “Frankenstein film,” which is a film that’s been worked to death by so many different people that it becomes really apparent that the film is disjointed.

That doesn’t mean it will happen that way, though! There still could be a new hope for this film but only time will tell. Hopefully the rumors are true about us seeing something this D23 or SD Comic Con!
